Bill Cowher's Candid Interview with PLaxico Burress Who Vows to Play Once Again in the NFL.
Plaxico Burress had it all a Super Bowl ring, after a great Touchdown to seal the win over the previously undefeated New England Patriots. He also received a brand new fat contract from the New York Giants. It was just 2 years ago today in Super Bowl XLII when Plaxico and the rest of the Giants stunned the world.
On November 29, 2008 Plaxico and fellow teammate Antonio Pierce visited a Night Club, not knowing that would change the direction of Plaxico's career and ultimately his life drastically. Burress carried a unlicensed .40 Caliber Glock pistol in his pants, which he claims was strictly for his protection.
A few hours later he fumbled the gun and the gun discharged shooting him in the leg, which in turn ended his career with the New York Giants, and possibly ending his NFL career for good.According to the http://www.nypost.com/ Burress sat down with an interview with CBS broadcaster Bill Cowher who is also a former coach of Burress to discuss whether or not Burress was staying in shape, and after a 2 year prison sentence would he be able to play in the NFL once again. Burress claims he is in shape, and vows to play again.
So I ask you sports fans does he deserve a second chance if he's in the right shape and still possesses the skills that made him a top WR in the NFL. I think we are a society who loves to give second chance and somebody will take a chance? It may have to be the Oakland Raiders, hey doesn't he already have a gun all he needs is an eye patch.
