New Jets/Giants Stadium is a Palace that Will Cost the City of New York a King's Ransom.
Hello This is my first blog of many to come and today I will be discussing the New York Jets and the arrival of their new stadium. Let me start off by saying how great it was to see the Jets make it to the AFC title game. With a young Defense, a rookie coach who doesn't back down from anyone, and a possible franchise Quarterback the future has not looked this bright for Gang Green in a very long time.

Which brings me to the upcoming season, more specifically where the Jets will call their new home. From looks of the new stadium, no expense was spared and it looks like a palace. Although I am hear to tell you that looks can be deceiving. According to http://www.gothamgazette.com/ this new stadium could present many financial problems for the city of New York.

In November a report was filed by the governor's office claiming that the cost of the new stadium will generate costs of $300 million. There also can be the possibility of interest on top of that figure, which would double the cost.
Not to mention the New York will lose two major streets, in order to provide entrances to the new stadium. Those streets are West 3oth and West 33rd on 11th and 12th Avenues, there are many stores on these streets that are being forced to close.

So I ask you when you are settling into your luxury box next year Jets fans will it be worth all the money and sacrifice or will you even think about it, or when the ball is kicked off for that first game will you just say Forget About It!!
