So Far... SO Good

The New York Yankees began their defense of their World series title last Sunday against their arch rivals the Boston Red Sox.

The Yankees are in pursuit of their 28Th world Championship, which is the most in all of professional sports. Manager Joe Girardi believes that the key to a successful season this year is for the Yankees to get off to a good start, which hasn't been the case in recent years.

The Yankees have started poorly in each of the last six seasons. In fact Before this season the Yankees had won their season opening series twice in the last six years. Also they have only won their opening series with Boston once in the past six years.

Last season was the ultimate low when the Yankees started off 0-8 against their Division Rivals. Some critics believe it's not how you start it's how you finish and the Yankees finished as champs Manager Joe Girardi encouraged by the good start and hopes it will continue because it's a long season.
